Turi Foods was the first company to implement the method of mechanical harvesting in place of the traditional hand catching method.
There are many benefits of this system. This includes:
- significant reduction of pickup damage, less stress to birds remaining in sheds after partial pickups
- eliminates need to push birds together as is required with manual pickup
- less damage to shed walls & modules
- less physically challenging on pick up crews.
The move from manual harvesting to mechanical harvesting is in line with our commitment to the welfare of our birds.
