Important to our core operations as a fully integrated poultry producer is our feed mill located in North Melbourne, Victoria. Owned and operated by Turi Foods, our feed mill produces approximately 2,000 tonnes of finished feed per week. Operating 24 hours per day, 5 days per week our feed mill can supply the requirements of our breeder operations as well as a large number of our broiler growers.
Our nutritional requirements are formulated by highly qualified and experienced poultry nutritionists who are constantly in contact with our farming personnel to ensure our birds are growing to the requirements that will meet our customer’s demands.
Strict quality control is in place at the feed mill to ensure all specifications are being met. Each batch of feed produced is checked to ensure that basic nutritional requirements have been met and our feed mill operators will periodically audit our grain suppliers to ensure that their quality control is to the standard that Turi Foods requires.
